One person can change the world | LinkedIn Hack | Building in Public
Ready to make an impact?
Find one person willing to follow you, and you might just change the world.
As we step into 2025, I believe it’s time to focus on making a difference—a positive impact. For me, it’s about reaching out to as many people as possible, helping them become better storytellers.
But what if you focused on just one person you could help?
What if you smiled a bit more? Stayed a bit more positive? Complimented your local barista when the coffee is great?
Every day, we make decisions that impact those around us, and in turn, they affect others. These small ripples matter.
Let’s make 2025 a year of positivity in more ways than one. And it starts with us, one person at a time, making it better for someone else.

THOUGHTS
Coffee on the road, enjoying the view
Stop, Start, Continue
Even if I showed you the treasure map to happiness, most people just wouldn’t follow it. It amazes me how most of us already know what’s needed to lose weight, get a better-paying job, or quit smoking.
Most people can even tell you their bad habits or name the negative friends they should cut out of their lives—but instead, they’d rather meet them and keep complaining.
We know we should gossip less, eat more vegetables, smile more, take things less seriously, and do more of what makes us happy. We know life is about those small moments, about enjoying the present, yet we say, “I can’t wait for tomorrow. Just one more day until…”
But “until” may never come. “Now” has just passed. And what really drives me crazy is that we all have the same map. We all know the road to happiness, yet our brains do everything possible to avoid taking it.
Our minds trick us into staying in our lanes, forgetting the map, repeating the same patterns, and expending less effort. Burn fewer calories, achieve less—it’s the easy way out. But for me, 2024 has been about change. About doing less to achieve more.
Here are some simple tools to help you carve your own map. Whether it’s for work or personal life, start today—not tomorrow.
Stop: Identify one thing you want to stop doing.
Start: Choose one thing you want to start doing. For me, it was starting a personal journal in April. A daily conversation with myself—I haven’t missed a day since.
Continue: Recognize something good you’re already doing and commit to keeping it up. For me, practicing positive affirmations has been a game changer in my personal life.
It’s up to us. Take responsibility for yourself. Make small changes. The impact will come.

Want to know about the best-performing LinkedIn posts?
Stay up-to-date with your industry leaders?
Check out the extension: Kleo
What does it do?
Kleo is a free browser extension that helps you easily consume and create content on LinkedIn.
Why is it interesting?
This free Chrome extension helps you monitor and follow top-ranking influencers and best-performing posts based on keywords.
Instead of guessing what’s trending, what type of content you should focus on, or who you should follow, Kleo does the work for you.
Cool features
Kleo adds a button to the top-right corner of your LinkedIn screen. Just click it, and you’ll see top posts on the side—saving you time from endless scrolling.
The real magic happens when you create a post. Kleo gives you a pop-up editor that shows how your post will appear, including the'see more...' preview.
What’s missing?
I’d love to see suggestions for the best hashtags to use—maybe I’m doing it wrong, or it’s just not there yet. I’ll keep exploring.
Verdict
When so many people are trying to find their way on yet another social platform, I feel it’s a great advantage to have.
True, it takes some time to get used to, but even if you’re just trying to improve your hooks, it’s a great place to start.

Building in public
Craft your skill—get uncomfortable to get happier
Visual storytelling is so different from writing—sometimes it feels like a craft I could never master. For years, I’ve wanted to share more video content, using my knowledge and, yes, even my great personality (especially when I get mad). I remember seeing Gary Vee back in 2008 or 2009, a young guy yelling at the world and getting one of two reactions: you either loved him or hated him. But everyone had an opinion.
For me, it was years of knowing, of saying what should happen or what I should have done. So I sat down, wrote a plan—an execution plan—to create more content. It might suck at first, but I hope you enjoy it. Roast me when needed and share it when you like it.
Videos
This has been on my mind for a while, so I decided to tackle it head-on. I’ve spent some time watching creators I like, and one of the best out there is Matt.
I needed a plan. I started by writing and scripting the text, landing at around 800 words—somewhere under five minutes. I like the story, the point, and the call to action.
Next, I asked ChatGPT to act as my YouTube film producer and give me pushback and structure. It was amazing to see where we could take it. Once we had the scripts written and divided, keeping my tone and style intact, we moved on to sorting out the shooting script. I hadn’t done one since college, and it was fun to revisit that process. I even realized that most of the B-rolls I needed were already sitting on my hard drives (yes, I travel with two hard drives full of videos from my tours since 2018).
The next step is to voice over the script. I’ve got my office microphone with me, and I’m excited to finally put it to good use. While this newsletter landed in your inbox, I’ve been filming some “speaking to the camera” shots. It’s completely out of my comfort zone, which is why I have to do it. I’m trying to film a few scenes in each location, so I’ll have plenty to choose from later.
Book
My main assumption for the book might be completely wrong—and that’s a great thing.
I’ve had ten calls this past week helping founders fix their marketing, improve sales, and cope with tough times. While the whole world feels chaotic, many successful companies are still struggling to land new clients.
The book’s core idea is predicated on the notion that we’ve been building brands the wrong way. But now, I’m learning that it might not even be about building brands the wrong way. Many companies haven’t even built a brand at all—they just jumped straight in.
If that’s the case, the book might be even more powerful than I’d thought. To refine this concept, I’m doubling down on these calls. And between you and me, it’s been amazing. Helping feels good, learning feels great, but validating my ideas with companies across Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, India, the U.S., and Canada has been an incredibly humbling experience.
Huge thanks to the EO Grit group and Ami Kassar—a true testament to what one person can do for so many.
