Take control of your now
This week, our Storyletter is coming to you from Leh in India, where we are riding motorcycles with a group of 15 entrepreneurs for two weeks.
You can probably imagine the amount of business talk going on. Excuse any errors as wifi was hard to come by

THOUGHTS
It’s up to you to sell better
On one of our many stops along the way, we were having tea, waiting for the rain to stop. We are 16 riders plus crew, all having a laugh, and as these things tend to go, more personal conversations started.
One of the riders explained to me about their business and marketing struggles.
While they have a great product, it is often explained through features and not benefits. When I explained the offer as “less work, more money” with a structure that works, the reply was, “But yeah, that’s what we say.”
The thing is, that’s not what they say.
If you are explaining your product or service using features, it won’t work as well as focusing on benefits, emotions, and outcomes.
One more interesting thing during the conversation was they asked the client what they wanted to change or do better for their client.
Don’t ask your clients; they don’t know. They are busy with survival and too much work. Tell them what they need, how to achieve it, and make sure the price you charge seems totally worth it, as their benefits will be 10x.

I'm going all in on LinkedIn
Why write one when you can write six?
That was my working assumption two weeks ago after writing a post for LinkedIn.
I figured I liked the topic, had some ideas, thoughts, and knowledge to share, so I opened a document and made a list of six things.
When the text was ready, I thought to myself, "That was fun; what other ideas might I have?"
And my list was:
- Monday quote
- Tuesday thank you to someone
- Thursday good week
- Friday thoughts
Suddenly, my list started to populate, and here I am now on a mountain in India while posts are going live almost every day on a scheduled list.
So far, after the first ten days, I've been getting great traction, but more than that, the connection requests have been really good in terms of the level of people.
My plan is to keep coming up with these titles, populate them, and launch more scheduled posts. The next step is another daily post about something that happened yesterday.
Images are crucial; if you can tag someone else, even better.
Start your list, and good luck!
MUSIC
Dont look back in anger
As a kid, I loved Oasis, but I also really enjoyed the media beef between them and Blur.
It was the mid-nineties, and the world was going crazy. Oasis was compared to many big bands, including The Beatles. One day, the brothers got into a fight, and that was it—one of the best bands in the world was gone.
This week, they have announced their return, and about a million tickets or so will go on sale, while it’s reported the ads will generate around 20 million.
The crazy part is they haven’t lost their audience or listener power, and they are still going strong on Spotify.
Enjoy this playlist and think about your legacy. Do you have one? Do you want one? What could it be? Food for thought.
