Well, it’s been a year since the last time I felt a bit under the weather.

And I’m enjoying every moment.

Well, not the being sick part, but rather the chance to rest, watch some TV, and even spend more time with Anthropic’s Claude Code.

Any TV or movie suggestions?

THOUGHTS

One podcast, one post, one email.

1% better than yesterday.

During a discovery call with a startup founder this week, I was reminded of how hard it is to change.

The founder has had over 65 discovery calls. Most of them ended with excitement and a follow-up call, yet most never continued to that second call, and those who did never completed their product trial.

My two-week customer journey sprint is exactly what he needs, but all he was concentrating on was the outcome he could expect.

No matter how much I said no one can anticipate that, he kept nagging.

But when I asked what could be expected from his platform, he said over 15% conversions, to which I replied, if that were true, why haven’t your trial users called to sign?

They had the service for free, no?

You see, we have this tendency to do the same. Expect others to do as we say or hope, not as we do.

And change is a funny thing.

Most people want it, can’t cope with it, fear the failure it might bring, but still look for it, just hoping success is on them, and failure isn’t.

To this, I tell you:

Find better tools and processes.

Implement quickly.

Cancel even quicker.

And get back to testing the fastest.

This is how I know it’s not the right lead for me.

I am looking for change, 1% better, not doubt.

Building in Public

It feels like the last two to three weeks have been very productive.

The Stook platform is moving along, with some great interest, but I’m still struggling with vibe coding sometimes.

This week, I broke something in the onboarding process and probably spent six hours trying to fix it.

Slowly moving more work into Claude Code, and next week will be the first week without the OpenAI Pro version. Let’s see how that goes.

Working on a new talk about customer experience and service.

Just announced it to my speaker agency here, and they already want to book gigs.

It’s not even ready.

But finally, it will be a talk connecting to my passions, maybe even three: storytelling, my work, and comedy.

I’ve always wanted to try stand-up comedy.

Let’s hope it works.

I’m excited about this.

All else is going as planned, hitting a huge milestone with a client two weeks before our deadline.

Next two weeks, I’ll have four speaking engagements, and then I’m off for some well-deserved vacation in Europe.

How are you all doing?
